ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT
Iron Anchor training is built around purposeful development. We don't run drills simply to keep athletes busy. Every repetition has a reason, every correction has a purpose, and every session is designed to help the athlete become better than when they arrived.

STANCE AND STARTS
I teach the defensive line stance and start by building everything from the ground up — feet loaded on the insteps, hips sunk, chest up, and eyes in the V of the neck. Once the stance is stable, we rep the start with a short, violent first step that replaces the hand and fires from the hips, not the shoulders. Hands strike with the hip roll, pad level stays low and square, and eyes come up immediately to read the block. Every rep reinforces the same cues: load the hips, explode off the insteps, strike inside, and stay square through contact.

STRIKE AND HAND PLACEMENT
Strike and hand placement for defensive linemen starts with owning inside leverage. We teach the near hand to strike violently into the near pec while the opposite hand posts on the sternum to keep the defender square. Hands fire with the hips, not before, creating knock‑back and control at the point of attack. Thumbs stay up, elbows tight, and eyes in the V of the neck so the lineman can read the block while maintaining leverage. Every rep reinforces the same standard: inside hands win, hips generate power, and control comes before the shed.

LEVERAGE AND BLOCK DESTRUCTION
Leverage and block destruction for defensive linemen starts with winning inside hands and owning pad level from the first strike. We teach the hips to fire before the hands, creating knock‑back and control at the point of attack. Once leverage is established, the lineman keeps his shoulders square, eyes up, and drives pressure through the blocker’s midline. Block destruction comes from violent, independent hands — press, rip, or shed based on the blocker’s pressure — while maintaining gap integrity. Every rep reinforces the same standard: win leverage early, control the block, and finish violently.

RUN DEFENSE
Run defense starts with owning your gap through leverage, pad level, and violent hands. We teach defensive linemen to strike with inside hands, roll the hips, and create knock‑back before locating the ball. Eyes stay in the V of the neck to read base, reach, or down blocks, and shoulders stay square so the lineman never loses gap integrity. Once control is established, block destruction comes from independent hands — press, shed, and finish downhill. Great run defense is built on discipline: win the line of scrimmage, stay square, control the blocker, and finish every play with violence.

Pass Rush
Pass rush is built on get‑off, surface reduction, and violent, purposeful hands. We teach defensive linemen to explode off the insteps, reduce their surface immediately, and attack the blocker’s midline with a primary move that’s tied to hip roll and pad level. Eyes stay up to read the set, and hands work independently to clear the blocker and finish downhill. Every rep reinforces the progression: win the get‑off, win leverage, win the hands, and finish flat to the quarterback.

1:1 Private Training
1:1 Private Training gives athletes individualized coaching that targets their exact needs, technique flaws, and performance goals. In these sessions, Coach works directly with the athlete to refine stance, hand placement, get‑off, leverage, and position‑specific skills through detailed instruction and high‑repetition drills. Every rep is corrected in real time, allowing the athlete to build confidence, master fundamentals, and develop the advanced tools needed to dominate on the field. This is focused, personalized development — built for athletes who want to elevate their game fast.

2:1 Semi-Private Training
2:1 Semi‑Private Training pairs two defensive linemen with Coach for focused, high‑level instruction that blends individual attention with competitive reps. Each athlete receives personalized corrections on stance, get‑off, hand placement, leverage, and block destruction while also benefiting from partner drills that sharpen timing, reaction, and physicality. This format creates a fast, efficient learning environment where athletes push each other, get more quality reps, and develop position‑specific skills with direct coaching every step of the way.

The Standard
The Standard is the foundation of everything we teach — discipline, effort, technique, and relentless improvement. Every athlete is expected to show up with focus, attack each rep with purpose, and uphold the core fundamentals that define elite defensive line play. We coach with clarity and demand consistency: perfect stance, violent hands, explosive get‑off, and unwavering accountability. The Standard never changes — it’s the expectation, the culture, and the commitment required to dominate on the field.

FINISH EVERY REP
EFFORT DOESN'T END WHEN IT GETS HARD. At Iron Anchor, finishing isn't just about reaching the end of a drill. It's about developing the discipline to maintain technique, effort, and purpose when fatigue starts asking you to compromise. We train athletes to finish the rep, finish the drill, finish the play, and eventually, finish what they start. No half speed. No shortcuts. No excuses. Because the habits you build when you're tired are often the habits you rely on when the game is on the line. DON'T JUST START STRONG. FINISH STRONGER.

PREPARE. PERFORM. PREVAIL.
PERFORMANCE IS BUILT BEFORE THE MOMENT ARRIVES. PREPARE. Practice with purpose. Study the details. Build technique through deliberate repetition until execution becomes dependable. PERFORM. When the moment arrives, trust the work. Play fast, play disciplined, and execute without hesitation. PREVAIL. Respond to adversity. Make the adjustment. Compete through the next rep regardless of what happened on the last one. Iron Anchor develops athletes who understand that success isn't created under the Friday-night lights. It's revealed there. PREPARE IN PRACTICE. PERFORM IN THE MOMENT. PREVAIL IN EVERYTHING.

IRON MINDSET
THE BODY CAN BE TRAINED. SO CAN THE MIND. Strength matters. Speed matters. Technique matters. But eventually every athlete encounters a moment when physical ability alone isn't enough. The Iron Mindset is about developing the discipline to keep working when progress is difficult, the resilience to respond when something goes wrong, and the confidence to attack the next opportunity without carrying the last mistake with you. We don't expect athletes to never struggle. We teach them how to respond when they do. Because toughness isn't pretending something isn't difficult. Toughness is developing the ability to keep executing when it is. TOUGH BODY. STRONG MIND. UNBREAKABLE WILL. BUILT DIFFERENT. BUILT TO LAST.
